Who is Dave
Dave Ramsey's success story starts where most others end: bankruptcy. At the age of 26, with a net worth of just over a million dollars, Dave was flying high. But that didn't make him immune to the ties that bind—and we can all agree that debt is indeed binding.
"I was really having fun. But 98% truth is a lie. That 2% can cause big problems, especially with $4 million in real estate. I had a lot of debt—a lot of short-term debt—and I'm the idiot who signed up for the trip."
After fighting debt for several years and losing nearly everything, Dave set out on a quest to figure out exactly how to take control of his finances. It was on this journey that he found himself on another path with a new appreciation for helping others.
In 1992, Dave created Ramsey Solutions to counsel his community on effective solutions to get out of debt and on to financial recovery. He authored and self-published his first book, Financial Peace (which he began selling out of his car at the time), and started a local radio show called The Money Game—now nationally known as The Ramsey Show.
Today, he is a widely recognized figure in the world of personal finance, with a long-running radio show, multiple best-selling books, online tools, and educational courses—in addition to running a highly successful company and generating a massive following everywhere he goes.

Who is Matt
Matt Templeton has been in the real estate industry for over 15 years. During his first year in sales, he was nominated as the Rookie of the Year. As a leader in the industry, he went on to serve on a number of a real estate committees and as a Realtor Association Board Director. During his career as a Real Estate Advisor, he has served more than 800 families and supervised 4,000+ home sales, putting him in the top one percent of Realtors (locally and nationally) for over 10 years.
Matt loves teaching people and helping them make the best decisions for their families. He is known by his teammates, peers, and clients as a wealth of knowledge and a curator of great experiences. Matt regularly gives back through his teaching, training other real estate agents and consultants. His team prides itself in being the most knowledgeable and skilled agents in their specific areas of expertise who communicated relentlessly, serve humbly, and give straight and honest advice to their clients.
Matt grew up in a Dave Ramsey family. In his middle school and high school years, when his parents were implementing their own Baby Steps, he was annoyed by the frugality. After graduating from the University of New Mexico with a business degree and later adding an MBA degree (both debt-free), he looks back at the significance of avoiding the financial burden of student loan debt. Those Ramsey principles instilled in his parents made a difference in his ability to now live and give like most people never will.
